I received a Kid Lid to try out in exchange for this review. All opinions expressed here are honest and my own.
Who here is the mother of a toddler? Maybe you don’t have a toddler anymore but find that your child is a busy bee and very hands-on. In fact, they are so hands-on that things get lost or even broken. I think I can hear the virtual sighs…haha. 😉
Among the items that have been broken, is your laptop one of them? Two laptops have been damaged by one of my children when they were smaller whether it was spilling something on it or banging on it too hard.
I was recently introduced to Kid Lid.
“Kid Lid is a unique new solution that provides stable surfaces that defends against inadvertent spills and resists the pounding of even the most rambunctious child. Kid Lid products protect computer keys from unwanted typing that disrupts movies, games, video chats as well as removal of keys by small fingers.“
Kid Lid is a pretty clever invention. It comes in two different versions:
- Fold Up
Both products were created with real kids in mind and are made of BPA-free polycarbonate plastic and universally created for 13” and 15” Mac and PC laptop computers.
The Kid Lid Protect Board ($29) and Fold up Board ($39) are available for purchase at KidLid.com.
I received the fold up lid. It fits nicely over my laptop like in the picture above. I so wish I would have had something like this when my girls were younger and when I was facing the headaches of keeping my laptop safe. My 5-year-old is still very hands-on but maturing enough to use my laptop properly for some of her schooling. I find that the Kid Lid works great for when I am downloading updates and don’t want hands disrupting or even great for movies when I don’t want those little fingers touching things they shouldn’t.
What do you think of Kid Lid? Clever, isn’t it? If you have a laptop and an extra busy child, I think you would benefit from this product greatly.
I would like to thank the folks over at Kid Lid for allowing me the opportunity to try this amazing product out on my laptop. I love the concept!
