I received copies of Achieve and Curious George Adventures in Learning to try with my 5 and 8-year-old. All opinions expressed here are honest and my own.
Have you ever heard of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt? They are a learning company dedicated to helping expand the young minds of today. They offer a variety of learning resources which are also useful as supplements.
Achieve is a series designed for Grades 1-3 and is photo-based with activities that help learners connect their practice to the real world. Vibrant magazine-like pages make curricula appealing and accessible. I received grade 2. Even though my 8-year-old is in 3rd grade, it makes a great supplement and refresher. Achieve grade 2 workbook covers: math, literacy, science, and social studies. Add and subtract within 100, work with time and money, recognize and decode prefixes and suffixes, and explore marketplace concepts. It’s fantastic and my daughter was eager to start working through it. She loves workbooks.
My 5-year-old is loving Curious George Adventures in Learning. This workbook features story-based activities starring everyone’s favorite monkey, Curious George. Each story adventure provides the backdrop for math, reading, and science practice. She is so proud to carry it around in her backpack. She feels like a big girl with homework. 😉
Whether you are looking for extra learning practice for your child in the after school hours or a supplement for your homeschool, I highly recommend these learning workbooks.
