With spring around the corner, it’s time to “think spring” with events, activities, and even crafts.  I am sure many of us are tired of the extreme cold and winter snow.  It’s time to warm things up a bit. Here are some fun easy yet fun craft ideas to celebrate spring with your kiddies right at home:

Puffy Paint Flowers

What you need:

  • Flower Printables
  • Shaving Cream
  • Elmer’s Glue
  • Primary and Pastel Food Coloring
  • Paint Brushes

To make the puffy paint, all you need to do is mix equally shaving cream (as much as you desire) generous amounts of glue and food coloring.  Mix until it dollops over when you lift the spoon out of the container. You can put different colors in containers to make a variety of colors on your flowers you are painting.  When the paint dries, it puffs out.  It’s a lot of fun and very cool to look at.

Spring Colors Marble Painting

Here is a potentially mess-free craft you can try with the kiddies.  All you need is:

  • A small rectangular box, enough to hold a standard size piece of construction paper
  • 4 small marbles
  • 4-5 spring paint colors of your choice

Lay a piece of construction paper flat into box.  Squirt little dabs of colors inches apart onto the paper.  Place marbles into the box and rotate side to side and back and forth until the marbles start dragging the paint all over the paper.  You can do it as long as you wish.  Makes a pretty awesome and colorful designs.
