I received a bottle of GuruNanda Pulling Oil in exchange for this review. All opinions expressed here are honest and my own.
Oil pulling is an Ayurvedic healing method that dates back 5,000 years. It is a simple form of oral detoxification and its many benefits extend past the mouth itself. It works to rid the body of toxins that build up from poor diet, environmental factors, sedentary and stressful lifestyles, lack of hydration, etc. These toxins get “dumped” into the mouth through the salivary glands, and the pulling oil takes them out.
I used “GuruNanda” Ayurvedic Oil, which is a blend of organic sesame oil, sunflower oil, coconut oil, and peppermint oil. I started off with 1 teaspoon in my mouth and gently swished the oil for 30 seconds. The more I did it, the longer I could swish it. The directions say to place 1 Tablespoon in mouth, gently swishing by pushing the oil between the teeth for 15 minutes. After swishing, spit in the trash (not the sink). Afterwards, brush teeth thoroughly. Use daily and results can be seen in as little as 6 weeks. The benefits I have seen are increased energy, weight loss, clearer skin, and pain relief among other benefits.
To purchase go to www.amazon.com. 8 oz bottles are $14.99. If you would rather have single use packages that are great for travel and on the go, they are being priced at $29.99 for 30 .5oz tubs.
