Banish Knots, Snarls, Tangles, Rat’s Nests, and Other Hair Horrors with Kandoo! {Review}

page

I received a sample of Kandoo ( $3.99 value) to try with my kiddies in exchange for this post.  All opinions expressed here are honest and my own.

When brushing those long childhood locks you may struggle with OOWWWW!  The howl goes up after a dip in the pool or a nightly bath.  Do you struggle with rat’s nests and tangles on top of their heads?

No matter how gently you comb through the knots, a few inevitably result in accidental hair pull and a yelp.  This can make hair brushing an unwelcome chore for parents and kids alike. But there’s an easy way out, thanks to Kandoo Kids!

Here’s What you need:

  • Wide-tooth comb before a brush
  •  A chair (call it your “salon chair” and set the mood
  •  A good detangler like Kandoo

Not all detanglers are the same, just read the labels.  Kandoo® Hair Detangler is made with salon quality ingredients (no parebens, sodium lauryl/laureth sulfates (SLS), phthalates, BHA/BHT, or petroleum distillates as found in some detanglers.  The super gentle formula is specially blended to make brush bristles glide through any hair type.  I did notice however, it does work easier on finer hair vs. thicker hair.  My oldest and my youngest it works the fastest, where my middle daughter (super thick long hair), takes a little bit longer to comb through, but it does work.

For later styling, you’ll appreciate that Kando0 won’t weigh hair down or leave a greasy residue.  I have had this issue in the past with other detanglers, so this is a nice change.

If you’re just buying one detangler, get one that can be used on dry hair as well as wet.  You can use Kandoo Hair Detangler to freshen dry hair in the morning.  A touch up spritz after mealtime can even help loosen occasional foodstuffs or other strange hair hitchhikers picked up from who-knows-where during the day.

Comb or brush?  They both have their place.  True, a soft bristle brush can give a silky finish.  But for longer or snarly hair, a wide-tooth comb will be your best go-to for starters.  Why the chair?  It signals quiet time and allowing a place to sit can buy you a few more precious minutes together for the task.  And it’s good to keep your little ones engaged.  Kids often want to be in on the act themselves-taking turns with the combing is a great compromise.

Another good idea is braiding.  For girls with longer hair, some find it best to braid the hair while still damp.  Be sure to allow time to dry before bedtime.  I can do it myself! Like other Kandoo products, the detangler is kid-friendly formulated to be tear free so little hands can take initiative and spritz their own heads.  The trigger is designed to spray a light mist and does not clog or drip.  That goes a long way in helping build kid confidence and independence.

Start enjoying those bath nights and start making grooming a glorious part of the afterglow together.

Kandoo Hair Detangler is available on Amazon or other retailers.
