About the Authors:
HUGO IBARRA currently serves as an elementary school principal in the Bryan/College Station area in Texas. He has also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Texas at Tyler in the Educational Leadership Department. He attended the Universidad Iberoamericana in Puebla, Mexico and received his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in 2001. In the Spring of 2015, Hugo Ibarra started a graduate program at Texas A&M University in the Department of Teaching, Learning, and Culture, where he continues to attend courses. He enjoys reading, getting to know people, and serving the communities where he works.
JOHN SEIDLITZ, founder and CEO of Seidlitz Education, works with teachers around the country implementing strategies that promote academic language development through innovative trainings and materials. Mr. Seidlitz is a former social studies and ESL teacher, and has served as a secondary ESL program coordinator and a state education specialist. In 2009 Mr. Seidlitz founded Seidlitz Education with the mission of Giving Kids the Gift of Academic Language.
