Our Experience with Color Street Nail Strips-Florentine Mosaic {Review}

I received samples of Color Street nail strips ($13 value) in exchange for this review. Any opinions expressed here are honest and my own.

Are you tired of waiting for your nail polish to dry? How about inhaling those toxic chemicals that come along with it? This has been me for a very long time. In fact, I got so tired of it, I gave up on my nails completely. Truth be told, I am a nail biter when things get chaotic or when I simply get bored, yikes! It’s a nasty habit, I know. Sometimes I don’t realize I am even doing it. I am excited to say that I think I found something that will motivate me to care for my nails properly and even ax this nasty habit all together. What is it?

Just recently, my aunt Mary (founding stylist), introduced me to a new product that was recently launched. Color Street is 100% nail polish strips that provide base, color, and top coat in every strip! Yes, you read that right…….100% nail polish. And guess what? No toxic chemicals. Organic strips! I am so excited about this product and so is my 14-year-old daughter Kelly! While we were on vacation, Kelly tried out the nail art design: Florentine Mosaic. As you can see in the pics below, the design is a lot of fun. It kind of reminds me of the children’s book classic; Rainbow Fish. 😉

The nail strips are easy to apply as you can see in pics above. My 14-year-old found it to be an easy and fun experience.  She used a alcohol wipe to clean off her nails. We found this to be an important step for easy application. You then tear off a nail sample and size it accordingly {while peeling appropriately}, and then stick on. You will then fold the excess over your nail and form a crease to easily tear off.  Push around the edges to make sure it’s even and bonding properly. And that’s it!  Here’s a close up shot of the actual product as seen on the website:

After two weeks, my daughter’s nails still looked great even after planting flowers in our flower bed and dance routines which involved her hands on the floor from time-to-time. We were impressed!

You may be asking, is it easy to remove? Yes! Since the nail strips are 100% nail polish, you can simply use nail polish remover without any damage! Another wonderful perk about this product.

I even gave it a shot with my short and stubby nails…..But they have grown nicely since then so I can’t wait to try out another design with my stronger and prettier nails. 😉

  1. Hi! These are soooo cute. Do you mean there are no toxic chemicals to inhale? What does it mean that the strip is organic?

    • Hi Akili,

      Thank you for your comment! We love Color Street! For full details about the products with accurate information, please contact Founding Stylist Mary Carr at carrm0212@icloud.com. She can give you a better understanding of how the products are made, etc. Thanks and have a great day!

  2. If you look at the ingredients list on the Color Street Nail Strips website you’ll see how toxic these are. They stink to high Heaven, too!!

    • I am unaware of all of the ingredients in the product and actually think they don’t smell as strong as actual nail polish. They are definitely a nice alternative. Brilliant! Sorry that you don’t like them. :/

  3. I was very very disappointed in Color Street nails. Sorry to say. 1.) Takes longer then I thought it would to get on. 2.) Occasionally when I fold over nail to tear, it tears further and slightly ruins look of just done nail. 3.) I scrubbed feircely for 20 minutes with polish remover..was almost impossible to remove. 4.) My bare nails were feathered and damaged

    • Sorry to hear you had a bad experience, Kimberly. I have had multiple experiences and this has not been the case for me. Did you contact the Rep that provided them to you?
