Digger the Hero Dog is a true story of a 16-year-old girl, Kilee, whose hero was her dog, Digger, who saved her from a house fire.  This children’s story is told from the dog’s perspective and shares the bond between humans and their pets.

All in all, my 8-year old truly LOVED this book as we have read it together several times as it is a very thought provoking book that brings so many questions to the table as to why and how this could happen and also the safety aspect. My son also really enjoyed the Safety Tips, Gas Safety Tips, and Be Prepared that were at the end of the book! Eye opening and educational book for kiddos.   It’s also a quick read and great tool for young readers.

Digger the Hero Dog is geared for ages 3-7 (grades 1-2) and can be purchased at Amazon and Barnes and Nobles.
